Like all Iverson's they're built tough to last through all the kids in the family. These are the finest hand crafted snowshoes you can buy, exceptional quality. Made in the USA. They're laced with our ballistic neoprene and the boot bindings are included. This shoe is 7 X 30 inches in size and supports up to 100 pounds. Iverson's are made in Michigan's Upper Peninsula - true snow country. We've been making our traditional wooden snowshoes for over 50 years. The Iverson snowshoe is known worldwide for its traditional craftsmanship and quality. We ship our shoes to outdoor professionals all over the world. These folks make their living in the woods and demand the very best. The process starts with Michigan white ash that is milled into the various parts. They are steamed to give the wood the needed flexibility to allow the complex bending and assembly process. Kiln drying sets the wood before the specialized task of lacing can be done. Our shoes are finally dipped in our special snowshoe lacquer that prevents snow from sticking. All Iverson snowshoes are guaranteed for life to be free of manufacturing defects. If you have a problem with your Iverson's just send them back and we'll make them right. Wood vs. Aluminum Iverson's provide nearly twice the flotation of metal shoes of the same weight. Our open lacing doesn't accumulate snow or ice like the solid decks of the metal shoes, making the actual "in use" weight of our shoes much less. Wood frames are much more rugged and flexible; they don't freeze, become brittle nor bend when bridged. They're very quiet too; enjoy the sounds of nature and not metallic clatter. Our snowshoes are used by top outfitters for this reason alone. There's just something very fulfilling about using traditional wood snowshoes - plus they look great on the wall when not in use!
